Roeland Wasmann

Roeland is a research officer in the pharmacometrics group.
He studied marine biology and pharmacy at the University of Groningen, The Netherlands, where he obtained his master’s degree in 2013. After which, Roeland started as a clinical pharmacist at the University Medical Center Utrecht, the Netherlands. From 2015 to 2019 Roeland was enrolled as a PhD candidate at the Radboud university medical center, Nijmegen, The Netherlands focused on the application of nonlinear mixed-effects models to describe pharmacokinetics of antifungal agents in the obese population.
Since 2019, Roeland has been working at the Division of Clinical Pharmacology at the University of Cape Town with a focus on dose optimization in children with HIV, TB and Malaria.
