Catriona Waitt

Catriona Waitt is a Professor of Clinical Pharmacology and Global Health at the University of Liverpool. She has lived in Uganda since 2015. She leads a research programme at the Infectious Diseases Institute, Makerere University with a focus on understanding the safe, effective use of medication in complex and understudied populations. She leads a community engagement programme ‘Attaining Equity of Access To Research’, which aims to ensure that communities are involved at all stages in research and are able to understand the major findings of research.
