Abstract Guidelines
- Please submit your abstract online through the link above
- The deadline for abstract submissions is 14th November 2024 at midnight South African Standard Time.
- All abstracts must be written in English.
- Please proofread your abstract carefully and check spelling, grammar, and scientific facts before you submit. We will not make any corrections; it will be reproduced exactly as you have submitted it.
- The abstract text cannot exceed 400 words. No references or graphics are allowed in the abstracts.
- Include three (3) keywords in your abstract submission.
- All abstracts will be reviewed by the Program Committee members, and they will make the final selection.
- Abstracts previously published for other ISSX meetings domestic or international meetings will be considered.
- Notification of acceptance/rejection will commence on 25th November 2024.
- The deadline for registration and payment is 30th January 2025. We will only include an accepted abstract in the program if we have received registration and payment on time.
Format
Your abstract should clearly indicate the following:
- Introduction: A brief background of the context of your work/investigation/hypothesis in relation to the workshop theme and subthemes.
- Methods: A short summary of the main methods followed
- Results and discussion: A summary of the main aspects to be discussed or addressed in your oral/poster presentation.
- Conclusion: Conclusions resulting from your work/investigation/hypothesis.
Evaluation process
Criteria for evaluating the quality of abstracts will include originality of ideas and methods, concise presentation of methods and results, clarity of application and implementation and quality of writing. Each abstract will be evaluated by at least two reviewers.

If your abstract is accepted, the Program Committee retains the right to change the presentation type and the program. We will communicate this directly to the respective author.
